Executive Chairman

James is a serial creator of companies that have changed the way the energy industry and clients access talent and deliver the most technical and operational demanding of infrastructure projects. An energy industry veteran James has twice been an E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year . As well as creating and successfully exiting three companies including in 2014 Senergy Group to Lloyds Register , James was on separate occasions engaged by government to advise on conventional and renewable energy strategy and policy. James is a emeritus Professor of Energy from Strathclyde University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers.

Colin co-founded international Oil and Gas consultancy Xodus Group in 2005. In a decade as CEO, Colin spearheaded its impressive growth to 750 staff over 14 offices in 8 countries. Colin focussed on ensuring Xodus were at the forefront of the energy transition industry as they developed a renewable energy and environmental capability. Further, Colin an advocate of digital transformation ensuring Xodus created value through their internal and external software products. Colin delivers shareholder value - Xodus group delivered a 15x return for first round investors in 4 years and 4x return for second round investors in 3 years.

Nigel has been instrumental in building several businesses through to exit. At FH Group Nigel completed a business restructure, implemented a new go-to-market and partner strategy which led to an acquisition by HP. As Commercial Director of Netforce he implemented systems and processes improving revenue/cost ratios prior to the business being sold to Norweb Telecom. Nigel ran the UK business of MuleSoft where he achieved annual growth rates of over 50%. Following a successful IPO the business was acquired by Salesforce.

Andrew studied computer graphics at Abertay University before spending nine years at Dundee-based digital business Blue 2 Digital. Demonstrating his entrepreneurial drive, he then launched his own digital consultancy. Andrew brings together cutting edge cloud computing thinking with strong management and business acumen, providing Xergy with a best-in-class technical platform to build upon.

Charlie spent 12 years as a successful Private and Investment Banker for some of the world’s most reputable banks (including Morgan Stanley and HSBC) before establishing his own technology venture capital business, Rockfirst Capital, in late 2012. Rockfirst Capital have since invested in (and raised capital for) 17 companies. Charlie is a seasoned board and non-executive board member and has experience in incubating, managing and exiting a number of technology businesses.

Previously, he held senior posts at Cenkos Securities plc, including Head of Corporate Finance, Energy and Natural Resources. Between 2013-2015, Jon was President of The Scottish Energy Forum and has been a board director since 2008
